Quick answer: The Life Plan helps people with developmental disabilities to prioritize what’s important to them, and find ways to achieve those goals.
But how can the plan be made meaningful? What’s required to be included? How does it affect supports and services, and staff action plans? These questions and more will be addressed at this Town Hall by Family, Advocacy, Information & Resouces for People with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (NYC FAIR).
It will feature a panel of family members, self-advocates, care managers and representatives from the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).
